Functions

Zero Contamination

Before each color change, the system performs an internal cleaning cycle of the bucket-side piping and purges any water left from the last wash. This is to prevent contamination and assure clean starts every time.

SOAP2CLEAN™

Cleaning solution can be dosed automatically during the wash cycle. The amount is set from the touch screen, so one can easily boost daily or periodic cleaning.

Quick Wash

A fast wash cycle shortens job changes between similar colors, for less downtime and waste.

Controlled Ink Flow

Supply and return pumps are digitally regulated. Flow adjusts automatically with press speed, and overpressure in the chamber is prevented.

Ink Recovery

At the end of each job, ink is extracted from supply and return lines and returned to its original bucket. No ink is wasted, and the system is left ready for washing.

Pre-Wash & Washing

The pre-wash stage reuses partially consumed solvent or water, saving up to 50% on cleaning fluid. A controlled wash follows, leaving circuits and anilox cells fully clean.

Bucket-Side Pipe Cleaning

Pipes and filters on the bucket side are automatically washed during bucket changes to avoid contamination.

Additional Systems

  • MasterClean –

Automatic drum cleaning system that detects substrate width, optimizes cleaning, and lowers the risk to operators.

MasterClean is BFT’s innovative system for automatic central drum cleaning in flexographic printing machines. Cost-effective and compact, it automatically detects the width of the printing material, optimizing cleaning on the outer bands where dirt accumulates the most.

MasterClean, Installed above the drum, beneath the exit path of the material, MasterClean consists of a guide system mounted on the press frame and one or two cleaning heads with interchangeable cloth cartridges. The intuitive eBFT control panel with eSim allows programming for any requirement.

MasterClean eliminates machine downtime and operator risks, ensuring unparalleled cleaning for superior print quality. Its compact size allows for easy installation on most flexographic press models for water-based, solvent-based, UV, and EB inks.

MasterClean

  • INK600 –

Real-time monitoring of ink usage per printed piece. Detects circulation issues and prevents stoppages.

INK600 is the sensor developed by BFT FLEXO to precisely monitor ink consumption per printed piece. Integrated into the inking circuit, it calculates ink usage in real time based on printing speed or the number of items produced, providing a key metric for cost optimization and process efficiency. INK600 also detects low ink levels in the bucket, alerting the operator and helping prevent production interruptions.

  • CPC & IPC Pressure Control Systems – Standardizes chamber/internal pressure, reduces blade wear, and automates wash cycle disconnection.
